PIBSA Driveline Additives
For fuel dispersants, PIBSA fuel driveline additives are considered to be primary precursors used to build additives. Nelson Brothers typically works with 1000MW molecular weight polyisobutylene succinic anhydride (PIBSA) for the development of fuel dispersants however Nelson Brothers can provide products derived from the full range of available HR PIB molecular weights (450 – 2300) or offer custom blends.
The molecular weight range is selected to provide the properties necessary to withstand the demanding conditions required for products used in these applications.
Nelson Brothers polyisobutylene succinic anhydride (PIBSA) driveline additives are manufactured using polyisobutylene (PIB) that has been produced via the thermal process and therefore there is no residual chlorine present. Nelson Brothers products are predominantly produced from highly reactive polyisobutylene (HR PIB), however, products based on conventional polyisobutylene can also be produced if required by the customer.
Nelson Brothers Specialty Chemicals offers laboratory size samples of products to prospective customers free of charge.
