Nelson Brothers manufactures the raw materials for oil and gas chemical additive formulations that are widely used in the market. However, in addition to these standard offerings, Nelson Brothers also has the capability to produce customized additives that allow our customers to differentiate the performance of their product offerings.

We accomplish this by focusing on key chemistry building blocks. This starts with polyisobutylene succinic anhydride (PIBSA). Nelson Brothers routinely uses a wide variety of molecular weights of polyisobutylene (PIB) both highly reactive and conventional grades. As a result, Nelson Brothers offers one of the widest ranges of PIBSA’s available on the market.

As a custom process additive manufacturer, Nelson Brothers also produces polyisobutylene succinimide (PIBSI) based emulsifiers, detergents and dispersants that are used in chemical additive formulations. These specialty process additives are used in antifoulant formulations to keep operating plants, such as heat exchangers, clean by dispersing coke generated during operation that can impact performance, increase costs, and reduce throughput.
